Fake Blood Tutorial by pullingcandy Fake Blood Tutorial by pullingcandy
(Updated to add what to do with flour and water.)

H'okay.

I've been asked to make a tutorial. Neat, huh. Apparently it looks real, or something :)

I'm really bad at making them, and the file is absolutely gigantic, and I'm not sure what category to put it in, but here is how I make my fake blood.

It's not an in-depth tutorial, it's not a good tutorial, but if you're going to use it, could you favorite this so I can go see what you do with it?

Available for download.

Looks great!
Quick question though, ( if you don't mind) Do you know if it will look good for old blood stains? I have to make a film for school and i'm playing a psycho murderer person, so old blood stains would be good.

(i'm going to use it anyway for fresh blood, but if it makes old blood stains as well it would work even better!)

How I make my old blood is I replace some of the red with soy sauce, or soya sauce. It makes it more like rust, and dries a little different which results in cracking, it's very gross to look at. Old blood is icky lol :) That is what I do, the rest of the process would essentially be the same but instead of adding all of the food coloring, replace some with soy sauce and dabble with how much until you're satisfied with how it looks!

Hey!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it will help me alot since I need a good amount of blood! haha
But, I have a question, if you don't mind... does it stain the floor or something like that? :< And, what about skin? Is it pretty hard to take off? >.<
I'm sorry, it's just so I don't ruin my bathroom, hahaha (⌒_⌒; )

Thanks for the tutorial anyway! ♡

Hi there :)
As with anything, it of course has the potential to stain. I have NEVER had any problems and I've been using this for years, but if you left it on any surface long enough, it would leave a mark which would take longer to get out, yes :)

btw when going to conventions, should I take a little in a small container with me in case I have to clean up my mouth before eating? XD

I'd absolutely recommend that, but make sure it's able to be sealed tight!
