Thank you everyone for participating, and for your last moment entries, haha. I think I will not be accepting any more, though, so don't send any more please - I'm going out and won't even be back to get them before due date anyway!
Judging and prizes in the next few days! Wooooot.

I cleaned up my journal and now this entry looks much better, far more professional, and it won't just keep getting longer due to the scroll boxes. Enjoy.

Regular programming to follow this announcement - I have all my judges! I'd still love to receive prize options though! Throw me a line if you'd like to offer something up for this.
I've EXTENDED the finishing date of this contest. It is from March 13th to June 20th, 2009. Come on guys, I know you can do it! I want to spend my money on you! Enter, enter!

Contest Objectives are simple -

  • :bulletblack:The contest dates are from March 13th to June 20th, 2009. Judging will be done on June 21st, 2009.

  • :bulletred:The theme may sound somewhat confusing. It's not really, once you get down to thinking about it, for it's exceptionally open ended. You could be literal, as I have been on my contest example picture. You can be gory and choose to portray a death in a very obvious Springtime setting. You could take a picture of a flower in bloom beside dead ones, you could take a picture of your goldfish dead in some melting snow. The list is endless, all it takes is a little imagination on your part. This is where you come in, I'm just here to spend money on you all and be amused.


  • :bulletblack:Photography, digital art, photo manipulation and traditional art only though, please. As much as I enjoy reading, I'm not going to accept any prose or poetry, because though I routinely visualize great writing, it's not what I'm going for.


  • :bulletred:The limit of entries is 2 per person. I've never done a contest before, so if people do enter this, I don't want to be too swamped! If you have an entry, leave a comment here, or note me. You don't have to title it the same as the contest, but make sure to throw in your Artist's Comments that it is so I know! Only have it entered in this contest please, which I suppose would be this one. I'll be posting every entry here in this entry at the bottom as they come in, so I certainly hope they do!


  • :bulletblack:If you live in a part of the world where it is NOT SPRING, I will accept whatever you come up with as long as the outcome revolves around the basic concept of Spring (Birth, New Life) and Death (Obvious). Improvise!

I really do hear you on the fever, I was rockin' 101F for a while there during the last few days at points just recently when I suffered from what is probably the death flu, because I still don't feel good (shakes a fist). But if you DO feel better and do go out, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
