Hello everybody.
I have some catching up to do. Long backstory short, my health declined a little bit and I haven't been around as much as I often was half a year ago. That is not to say I am not active, because I am always around, quietly, hanging out in my inbox - But I haven't had the energy to post much, and my monthly DD features have fallen behind, etc, etc. I am feeling better, and will remedy that, as well as do some features, or revamp old feature series that I used to religiously do and post them again with a fresh face.
But enough about me. I want to know about you! (Yes, you. And you. And you!)
Since it's been about 6 months, tell me....
What were you (yes you!) for Halloween?
What did you get for Christmas?
What did you do on New Years?
Are you excited for Spring?
Are you going on vacation this summer?
What's your favorite scary movie?
If you have any cosplay (which includes the artisan crafts gallery yay!), or horror/macabre photography suggestions, my inbox anxiously awaits you!

(2017) Daily Deviation Suggestion Guidelines!
Suggesting a Daily Deviation to pullingcandy (https://www.deviantart.com/pullingcandy)!
A Daily Deviation is a glorious thing! They can be uplifting and surprising, and they sure know how to make someone's day. They can also come with a whole slew of questions, but thankfully, before we get in to the logistics of how to suggest a daily deviation to me, there are a few FAQ's that cover the basics of the entire process far better than I can explain them myself!

CV Status Update + New Horror/Macabre CV!
Good morning, all you feisty and fantastic deviants out there. I hope the start of Fall is treating everybody just fine.
I have some news to share with you all. There is a new(old, actually!) CV taking over the horror/macabre gallery, and that lovely young lady is EveryNextDream (https://www.deviantart.com/everynextdream). She's going back to her roots, so to speak, and I have released all the caged demons from that gallery back in her care. She's got her list of updated guidelines HERE for you to check out at your leisure.

And so, after nearly a decade of curating some of the creepiest creativity around, I feel confident that it went to the right hands. I

I don't remember as far back as Halloween.
I have been working in paediatrics uniquely now, and at the moment I work in a neonatal unit, which means I take care of newborns exclusively. Some of my patients weigh 1kg or less. It can be very stressful and intense, but for the first time, I don't question the point of my job anymore. On most of the days that I am on call, I will usually take part in the resuscitation of a newborn, whether it's an newborn making no effort at all at birth, or just a newborn needing some help transitioning into life outside the womb - it feels amazing to be able to do this.
Sadly there is the less peachy side of life, with health problems galore, weight loss, exhaustion, loneliness, exams...
But I guess life would be boring without all of that.
